SVCHC, a non-profit, is a Federally Qualified Health Center that was opened in 1992 as a freestanding primary care clinic. It began as a grass roots effort to address the lack of access and disparities of health care services for the uninsured and underserved in Sonoma Valley. Over the years, it has grown in capacity to serve Medi-cal, uninsured, underinsured, private insurance, private pay patients and provides sliding scale fees for those in need. In addition to medical services, it includes a laboratory, dental clinic, in-house pharmacy and certified enrollers to help with enrollment such Covered CA, Medi-cal and Cal fresh.
