Friends: An Invitational Exhibition is a special exhibition by Northern California watercolorist Robert Benson, whose luminous paintings celebrate familiar landscapes, vintage architecture, and everyday subjects with warmth, craftsmanship, and an unmistakable sense of place. Julia Pogzai is Featured Artist for September. Voted Winner People's Choice Awards 2026.The public is invited to meet the artists during the opening reception on Thursday, September 3, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., held in conjunction with Sonoma Art Walk. Admission is free. Located at 140 East Napa Street, just steps from Sonoma Plaza, the Arts Guild of Sonoma is one of California's longest-running artists' cooperatives. The nonprofit gallery features original paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, printmaking, woodworking, and mixed-media art created by local and regional artists. Open Wednesday through Monday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
