This summer, Music in Place and the City of Sonoma invite you to soak up the sunshine, sip local wine, and dance to live music at the Sonoma Plaza Grinstead Amphitheater during Sonoma Sundays On the Plaza, a free concert series running June 7 through October 4, 2026.
This week's lineup features Time Weed and The Dorian Mode! Tim Weed is a lifelong, Grammy-nominated concert musician, composer, producer, recording engineer, and recording artist. Best known for his virtuosity on the 5-string banjo, songwriting, and soaring vocals. The doRiaN Mode explores the Great American Songbook as it dishes up vintage jazz, swinging R&B, and soulful ballads, from the sassy sounds of 1920s speakeasies and 1930s big-band swing to 1940s jump blues and the rollicking R&B of Ruth Brown. Vocalist and bassist Dorian Bartley leads this Petaluma-based acoustic quartet featuring Robby Elfman on piano/clarinet, Peter Graves on sax, and Tony Blake on drums.
Sonoma Sundays are free and open to all, thanks to the generous support of the Sonoma Community Center, The Dawn Redwoods Trust, and the McNeely Family Foundation.
Pack your picnic, bring your dancing shoes, and meet us on the Plaza!
